These young goslings are on an adventure of learning and discovery. Although still within their mother's sight, they are enjoying their freedom and independence.




Of course, that freedom and independence can lead to some shocking discoveries.

Shhh! - The Fish are Talking

On a recent visit to Edmonton's Hawrelak park a female Widgeon duck caught my attention. It was ignoring the other ducks, geese and gulls which were more focused on feeding or protecting their territory. With a playful look and one ear to the water the Widgeon seemed to be saying "Shhh!, The Fish are Talking".
